THE GREATEST EDUCATOR OF MANKIND

 بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم
الصلوۃ و السلام علیک یا سیدی یا رسول الله

THE GREATEST EDUCATOR OF MANKIND
HAZRAT MUHAMMAD  صلی الله تعالی علیه واٰلہ وسلم
( PEACE BE UPON HIM )

HAZRAT MUHAMMAD صلی الله تعالی علیه واٰلہ وسلم  was born in the Holy City of Makkah. He belonged to a very noble Family. His Grandfather رضی الله تعالی عنه brought him up nicely. He was noble, gentle and honest. For these Qualities He was Highly respected, reputed and recognized. The Holy Prophet had no formal education. He did not learn reading or writing, yet He was the Greatest Educator of Mankind. He taught the principles of morality and eternal values which formed the basis of a welfare Society. He freed man from the old traditions and customs. At the Age of Forty ( 40 ) God bestowed The Holy Prophet hood on Him. HAZRAT MUHAMMAD صلی الله تعالی علیه واٰلہ وسلم  began to spread the Message of God with Devotion. He preached the "One ness of ALLAH". He said only God is to be prayed and worshipped and not the idols. He showed them the light of the Religion of Islam. He also guided them to the path of virtue and piety.

The Quraish who had been worshipping the idols for many years could not bear this. They became angry at Him and persuaded Him to give up the preaching of Islam. They also offered him wealth and riches for this purpose. They even sent their representatives to abu talib the uncle of HAZRAT MUHAMMAD صلی الله تعالی علیه واٰلہ وسلم  who was held in high esteem to ask his Nephew to stop the preaching of Islam. But nothing could dissuade Him from His Mission. He remained firm in His belief.

"By God" He said, "if you put sun on my Right Hand and moon on the Other I would not give up My Faith". This Reply made the Quraish furious. They became violent and threw stones at Him. Hazrat Bilal رضی الله تعالی عنه , His صلی الله تعالی علیه واٰلہ وسلم negro Slave was tortured time and again. Many other faithful Muslims, were also ill-treated. But they were the True Followers of HAZRAT MUHAMMAD صلی الله تعالی علیه واٰلہ وسلم  and Devotees of ALLAH. When the cruelties and humiliation crossed all bounds, HAZRAT MUHAMMAD صلی الله تعالی علیه واٰلہ وسلم  advised the Muslims to migrate to Abyssinia. It was ruled by a christian king, Najashi. The king was kind, just and noble.

The Quraish also followed and demanded that the Muslims refugees be given back to them. The king, Najashi called the Muslim refugees. He wanted to hear them. Hazrat Jafar bin abu talib رضی الله تعالی عنه came forward and said, "O, king we remained in darkness and ignorance. We indulged in barbarism We worshipped idols. We had no love and regard for humanity. Then ALLAH عزوجل brought to us a Man Who took us out of ignorance, darkness and cruelty. He has shown Us the Path of Honesty, Truthfulness and Virtue. He has asked Us to offer prayers, give alms and observe fast. We believe in the One ness of ALLAH عزوجل and His Revelations. This Truth has made these people Our enemies. The king was impressed by what Hazrat Jafar had told Him. He asked Him to recite some verses from the revelation of HAZRAT MUHAMMAD صلی الله تعالی علیه واٰلہ وسلم . Hazrat Jafar رضی الله تعالی عنه recited the verses concerning the Birth of Hazrat Issa علیه الصلوۃ و السلام. The King was pleasantly surprised to hear the truth about Hazrat Issa علیه الصلوۃ و السلام . Instantly he told the angry Quraish that He would not give the the Muslim refugees back to them. He gladly allowed them to stay in His Country.

The Quraish came back to Makkah. They had become more bitter in their enmity. The chiefs decided to inflict more injuries on the Banu Hasham . The Muslims were boycotted and were forced to find refuge in a small valley which later came to be known as SHAIB-E-ABI-TALIB. The boycott lasted for three years; but HAZRAT MUHAMMAD صلی الله تعالی علیه واٰلہ وسلم  would not abandon His faith and the Banu Hasham would not abandon HAZRAT MUHAMMAD صلی الله تعالی علیه واٰلہ وسلم . The boycott, at last, came to an end. But it was followed by two tragedies, the death of His uncle and His Beloved wife Hazrat Khadija رضی الله تعالی عنها. –
